Google Held on Google Open Source  Day on May 5 2021 Live will highlight multiple sessions present by the Data Analytics team members and the community including a keynote talk from VP for Cloud Developer Relations, Amr Awadallah, on Open Data Lakes(ODK): Breaking down innovation and cloud barriers with open source.

Google held an Open Data Lake Day this weekend where they invited developers to connect with Open Source contributors from around the world.

According to the team, the idea came from a discussion between Luca Vaccari (Senior Software Engineer at Google Cloud Platform) and Merijn Chome (Co-Founder and Principal Engineer at Northway Solutions) in which the pair discussed what Open Source Day could be about, and Vaccari proposed that Open Source Day would be when developers
