Tata Steel is inviting applications for its Aspiring Engineers Program 2023. The program is open to candidates who have completed or are in the final year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg) in IT or Computer Science and MCA/M.Sc. in Maths, Statistics, Physics, or Operational Research. Candidates who have completed a three-year diploma and directly joined the second year of engineering can also apply. The minimum educational qualifications include a score of 6.5 (CGPA) or 65% (percentage) for general candidates and 6.0 (CGPA) or 60% (percentage) for transgender, PwD, and SC/ST candidates.

Selected candidates will be placed as Engineer Trainees for a period of 1 year, during which they will be subject to regular evaluations. Upon successful completion of the training, they will be offered a fixed-term employment of three years as Assistant Manager (IL6) at Tata Steel. The engineer trainees will receive a stipend of ₹30,000 per month and will be covered under a medical-claim scheme for self. Upon completion of training, a CTC of INR 6.24 lacs per annum, along with other benefits, will be offered.
