About the Job:
As an Associate Software Engineer at Tech Mahindra, you will be responsible for a range of tasks to support customers in resolving technical issues related to SAP applications. Some of the key tasks include:
Case Solving - on Portal and Expert Chat: You will be responsible for resolving known errors by referring to documentation such as SAP Notes, Knowledge Base Articles, solved customer incidents, documentation, and WIKI or by verifying customized entries or hardware parameters. You will perform root cause analysis and provide solutions in complex environments for specific fields/areas, aiming to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction through individual case work. You will escalate issues on time and with good quality, keeping incidents aged days to a minimum, and adhering to Enterprise Support KPIs. You will also participate in weekend support activities as required, provide extended and 24-hour coverage if needed, and report errors to development organizations. Additionally, you may be involved in case reduction tasks such as creating Knowledge Base Articles and notes, and contributing to the community and forums.
Knowledge Transfer:
You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring internal staff and external customers & partners, and contributing to continuous Knowledge Management by creating Knowledge Base Articles and WIKI Documents. You will deliver standard application/technology trainings and workshops, and perform knowledge transfer to help with incident deflection. You may also drive the creation of Knowledge in your area of expertise and proactively share knowledge created externally and internally.
Additional Tasks: You may specialize in at least one product area and become a product expert. You may also develop deeper technical skills such as reading code, debugging, and creating small corrections where applicable, or working as a functional expert in de-escalation and war rooms. You may participate in internal projects driven by internal requirements, be involved in CoE/IMS activities driven by business requirements, and take initiatives to improve the team's performance and efficiency.
Required Skill Set: To be successful in this role, you should have a basic understanding of networking concepts including knowledge of some of the commands used on Windows, such as IPConfig, Ping, telnet, etc. You should also have a basic understanding of databases, including queries, stored procedures, performance optimization techniques, concepts like joins, normalizations, cardinalities, DN drivers, DSN, etc. Additionally, you should have a basic understanding of operating systems, including properties, commands, and authentications in Windows, as well as information around the location of logs generated.
