IC 8288 Bus Controller in microprocessor

 8288 BUS CONTROLLER Pin description:

In maximum mode 8086  microprocessor, it's S2, S1 ,S0  and clk lines are connected to the 8288 bus controller .
8288 decodes these lines and produce the control signal as follows

Status input signal:

S2, S1 ,S0: these signals are used to provide the I/p for generating multibus command  signal.

Multibus command signal:

MRDC  ,  MWTC :
Is is used to read / write data from into memory respectively.

IORC ,IOWC :
it is uedu to read / write data from into an I/p  port respectively.

AMWTC,AIOWC :
this gives slower device more time to prepare itself for accepting  data.

INTA:
this is an output signal ,used to get the vector no . Form the interrupting device .

DEN:
this signal is enables the bidirectional data transreciver in the system .

DT/ R :
this signal controls the direction of the data transreciver in the system .

ALE:
 Used to latch the address from the multiplexed address data bus .

MCE/ PDEN :

In system bus modi it act as master cascode enable it enables I/o bus transreciver

Input control signal:

 Clk : it is system clk from 8282 clock generator
CEN , I/O AEN : these are I/p  signal  used to determine the mode of operation of 8288 as follows .
